1. Our Local-First Privacy Architecture

InfoConverge, LLC built SignHelm so your sensitive PDF contracts and handwritten signatures remain under your control on your own device:

• SignHelm Web Studio (www.signhelm.com / signhelm.app): Signature drawing, photo background removal, 12-box capture sheet extraction, and single-page PDF stamping execute 100% locally inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript. Your PDFs and signature photos are never uploaded to our servers.
• SignHelm Desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux): PDF rendering, Wet-Ink Multiply stamping, local signature vault storage, local SHA-256 signing receipts, Local Wi-Fi Sign-by-Phone, and on-device OCR (Apple Vision on macOS, WinRT OCR on Windows, Tesseract on Linux) run 100% locally on your computer. Your PDF documents never leave your machine.

2. Information Collected for Licensing, Seat Verification & Software Updates

You do not need an account to use the Free Web Studio or the Free Desktop tier. Regarding network requests and license verification:

• Payment & Tax Information (Processed by Paddle.com): Our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, collects your name, billing email address, country/postal code (for tax/VAT compliance), and payment method details in accordance with Paddle’s Privacy Policy. InfoConverge, LLC never receives or stores your raw payment card numbers.
• Cryptographic License Issuance: Upon verified purchase completion, our fulfillment service issues an Ed25519 signed license token (SIGNHELM1.<payload>.<signature>) containing your license ID, product tier, issue date, update window date, and purchaser email.
• Lightweight Update Check, Seat Binding & Revocation Heartbeat: On startup and periodically in the background, SignHelm Desktop connects to our Cloudflare licensing and release service to (a) check whether a newer OS-compatible software release or dynamic tier catalog is available for your platform (e.g., macos-arm64, windows-x64, linux-x64), and (b) when a paid license is installed, verify seat activation (1–3 computers with self-serve seat takeover) and renew a 14-day offline machine lease (SIGNHELM_LEASE1) using your license ID and a one-way salted SHA-256 hardware identifier. No PDF documents, document filenames, text fields, OCR results, or signature images are ever transmitted in these checks.
• Upcoming Optional Pro Cloud Features (Coming Soon): When optional Pro & Cloud features launch (Encrypted Cloud Signature Vault Sync across up to 3 computers and Cloud-Relay Sign by Phone), and only if you explicitly opt in, we will transmit and store only your encrypted signature/initials stamp assets and account email—never your PDF documents.

3. No Sale of Personal Data & No AI Training on Your Documents

InfoConverge, LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, signatures, or documents to third parties, and we never use your signatures or documents to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Data Deletion, Export & Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

In SignHelm Desktop, you can export an encrypted backup of your local signature vault, deactivate this computer’s license seat at any time, or permanently erase all local signatures, profiles, history, and signing receipts using the built-in Forget All Local Data command. For any billing or license records held by InfoConverge, LLC, you may request access, correction, portability, or deletion at any time by emailing support@signhelm.com.
